What is Helical Piering?

When Hunter and Son Foundation Repair Contractors have a deep foundation to rewpair, they count on Stabilis Helical Piers®. Helical piers are a steel screw-in piling and ground anchoring system used for repairing deep foundations. A helical pier steel anchor is  hydraulically driven  into the earth until it meets  the desired repair depth.  Piering brackets are attached to the footing and stem wall and a mechanical connection is made between the helical pier shaft and footing bracket. The structure beneath can now be raised back to a pre-settlling depth with a hydraulic jack, pump and manifold system.

Resistance Piering

Steel piers (Resistance Piers) are hydraulically driven pilings that are forced into the earth utilizing the live load (buildings contents) and dead load (buildings make up, i.e. footings, stem walls, roof structure, etc.) Our Hunter and Son foundation repair equipment includes a piering system utilizing a 10,000 psi hydraulic pump.
